The May 2021 Market Update is here! We saw increasing home prices and low inventory across the Greater Tacoma region. In North Tacoma homes were only on the market for less than a week (six days to be exact) before going under contract.

Mortgage rates are closely tied to the health of the U.S. economy. The county as a whole is on an upswing, which leads experts to believe we’ll see higher interest rates in June and throughout the summer months. However, overall recovery has been uneven. Inflation is ascending rapidly, while the unemployment rate is moving much slower.
All in all, we saw increasing home prices and more available homes to wrap up the April 2021 Market Update. If you are a Buyer, the uptick in inventory is great for you! You faced slightly less competition among other buyers and there were more homes for you to choose from. If you are a Seller, or considering selling your home, this is still an incredible time to put your home on the market.
