Video Games. Over 90 percent of youth are playing and as parents we hope these habits are healthy, but do we really know? Our youth are learning to socialize, communicate and discover who they are through technology vs. playing outside and interacting with the neighborhood kids. This behavior has been exacerbated because of COVID-19. I mean, can we tell our kids to go outside and play with the neighbors, in good faith? TeamWrk is a nonprofit foundation, committed to helping our youth develop a healthy relationship with gaming. When you donate to the TeamWrk Foundation you are playing an active role in molding our youth. What products and/or services do you offer? How long have you been in business?
We are a nonprofit that challenges youth to level up to their full potential. We do this with responsible gaming, characters building and bullying prevention. This month marks our one year!
How do we find you online?Why did you start your business? What is lesser known about your business that you wish more people knew?
Founded by internet sensation Marcel Cunningham aka BASICALLYIDOWRK, he believes Gaming is a great way to be challenged or to escape. Gaming is also a great way to make friends and be a part of a wonderful community. It is those things for me. Gaming can also get you caught up in unhealthy behaviors and/or toxic environments. I’ve been there and I’m not proud of it, so I’ve committed to be part of the solution. Ninety percent of young people are playing video games. My hope is that Team Wrk will connect with them and challenge them to level up to their full potential by providing safe and inclusive communities onsite and online. I want Team Wrk to be a place to learn healthy gaming habits, character & team building skills and bullying prevention.

We host camps and clubs throughout Tacoma but our reach is international through our social media platforms. |
