The intention in doing these video series throughout my home renovation was to shed light on what the ENTIRE home renovation process. Here are my 3 big lessons learned.
The kitchen is IN! Mostly, that is. The island is not yet set to prevent a lot of headache with cutting the Oak Floors around it, so we choose to install the island after the floors are in.

If you can’t tell from the video – I am tired! Overwhelmed with the feeling of satisfaction and gratitude, after all that has been accomplished the last week and a half. Constant communication between contractors and vendors, rearrangement of schedules, trusting relationships and good ol’ hard work is the only reason we are on track to begin insulating and hanging drywall.

Tacoma, Washington – Our town is composed of mostly, older Craftsman, Tudor, Bungalow and Victorian style homes. With the admirable (and older) architecture comes dated systems (like Knob and Tube electrical and Galvanized plumbing). After so much wear and tear, these systems will eventually need to get replaced
